3 Reasons to Leverage Social Media in Your Business (EVEN IF YOU HATE IT)

If you’ve ever said ‘I hate social media’ this one’s for you.

A Salesgirl without her jewelry is… still a Salesgirl, just a lot less cute.

This newsletter is brought to you by Brittany Myra Jewelry, handmade necklaces that are one-of-a-kind, just like you.

Discover the allure of authentic gemstone jewelry, crafted to bring joy, beauty, and confidence into your life.

If it’s good enough for Kristen Bell, it’s good enough for us.

What do AI bots, facetune and cyberbullies all have in common?

They’re all reasons we’ve heard for not wanting to leverage social media in your business.

If those don’t resonate with you, maybe the following will:

I don’t have time…

Caring about instagram is just so vain.

I want REAL marketing!!

My industry doesn’t use social media”

I hate hearing my own voice.”

I can’t stand seeing my own picture, let alone a VIDEO of myself!

Sound familiar?

Disclaimer: I can’t promise I will turn you into a social media stan by the end of this newsletter, but if I can get you even a litttttttle bit closer to posting the reel sitting in your drafts, my job here will have been done.

Why social media is beneficial for your business EVEN IF you hate it:

#1. Affordable AF

Social media is not just for aesthetic feeds and relatable reels (although, we do love both). It’s also one of the most affordable, AND effective ways to market your product or service.

The content king and our friend, Omar El-Takrori, says that social media actually saves you time by creating material that can sell for you, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Idk who needs to hear this but saving you time is saving you money. Lots of it.

#2. Brand recognition, baby!

If I had a nickel for each time I heard someone recognize an influencer or a business simply based on their social media presence, my 2024 white G-Wagon would be parked out front.

Keeping your brand alive on social media can seem daunting at first, but like anything, the more you do it, the easier it gets.

#3. Social Media Posts = Sales Reps

Now you know we’re all about sales skills over here so this should come as no surprise. What did surprise even us, is how many people say, “I binged your feed and I feel like we’re best friends. How can I work with you?”

From a reel to a story to a DM, you have LOW RISK, endless opportunities to practice selling your offer to your audience.

Next time you start creating content, rest assured that you’re not only helping develop your brand, but you are also developing your sales skills.

The next time you think ‘social media ain’t for me’, we’ll be waiting for you right here… in this newsletter.

Post away, gf.
