July is sneaky.
One minute you’re at the lake enjoying a ballpark frank, the next you see people reposting “half way through the year. no days off. grind don’t stop.” graphics that are meant to be inspirational but low-key leave you feeling like a BUM.
Before you start spiraling (or ignoring your goals altogether), let’s pause for a quick, gentle, absolutely shade-free reset.
No need to answer everything at once. But pour a coffee (or a glass of something bubbly, when I said shade-free I meant it) and spend 10 minutes with it.
You might be surprised what clarity shows up.
Your Mid-Year Momentum Checklist
#1. What’s Working?
Name 1–3 things you’ve done in the last 6 months that are moving the needle, big or small. This is proof you’re not starting from scratch.
#2. What Feels Heavy?
Identify the things you keep postponing or dreading. Sometimes, dropping or delegating one heavy task frees up a tidal wave of energy.
#3. What’s the Skill Gap?
Is there something you know you need to get better at (selling, writing, delegating, making decisions)? Growth often hides here.
#4. What’s the Easy Win?
Pick one project or action you can complete this week to build momentum. A finished thing (even a small thing) beats a perfect idea.
#5. Who Can Help?
You’re not meant to do it all alone. Who could you text, hire, or ask for support?
#6. How Will You Celebrate?
Decide in advance how you’ll reward yourself when you hit your next milestone. (Shoes are my personal vice.)
This isn’t about overhauling everything. Matter of fact, that’s the last thing I want you to do.
It’s about getting honest, getting clear, and getting excited again.
Here’s to your second half being your best yet.
