A Salesgirl’s Guide to Love Island
Sales Funnels in Swimwear
I don’t watch Love Island, but I do believe deeply in letting women enjoy things.
So while I’ve never watched an episode and I wouldn’t know a Casa Amor from a Casa Bonita…
I do know this: when the girls care, I care. And based on my Twitter feed, Love Island is back and ruining productivity for millions of women - and I mean that in the most affectionate way possible.
I have a theory that you don’t have to keep up with every coupling to see what’s really happening in that villa.
It’s never just reality TV. It’s a sales psychology seminar dressed in swimwear.
FROM WHAT I CAN TELL… the people who win aren’t always the hottest. Or the most strategic.
In fact, when I read about (Googled) how someone even goes about winning Love Island, it seemed to me as if it’s a combo of strategy, likability, and public perception.
You build connection, stay memorable, and don’t give people the ick. And ideally, you leave with both a fanbase and a bag.

I don’t know these girls but I think I would like them? Stans, set me straight if not.
The winners are the ones who know how to:
Read the room
Sell themselves with confidence
Pivot when something isn’t working
Build (and repair) trust
Keep their cool when someone new slides into the villa
Which… sorry to be this girl… is exactly what you have to do when you’re running a business or just living a purpose-driven life, too.
There’s always someone or something new. Always a shift in energy. Always a need to reestablish value.
Business, like Love Island, rewards the ones who can stay in the game without losing their cool.
So if you find yourself 8 episodes deep, just know:
You’re not wasting time. You’re studying human behavior.
And you’re more than welcome to call it research.
Xo, The Salesgirls
PS. If I missed a key villa rule or butchered a legendary re-coupling moment, LMK but in a nice way or I will cry. What did I get wrong? Should I just watch it already? My inbox is open, my Hulu account is ready, and I do love a good redemption arc.
