What is Complementary Learning and Why Do Female Entrepreneurs Need It?

As perfectly displayed by Ken at the Oscars

Sunday night’s 96th annual Academy Awards recognized excellence in cinematic achievements over the course of the year.

The 96th time something happens, they surely cannot surprise us with anything, right?

And then…

Ryan Gosling performed “I’m Just Ken” live in a sequined hot pink suit, mesh gloves and sunglasses.

And it was, like, really, really good????

Am I the only one who acts incredibly shocked every time an actor unveils his or her ability to sing better than 90% of the population? Do the same 100 people have all the talent? Can you spare some for the rest of us? What’s going on?

The first time I heard Hugh Jackman in Les Miserables, I thought, “what is this sorcery? He’s just been sitting on that?”

Yeah. He for sure had.

Turns out, vocal lessons aren’t required to be an actor, but the best ones have them.

Most of the time, they learn how to sing loooong before they ever need to pick up the mic in a film (or at the Oscars).

It’s an additional skill and knowledge around a subject that complements their primary focus: acting.

What complementary product knowledge would put you pace to be the best? Think: learning this isn’t really required, but the best would definitely have it.

A Salesgirl’s favorite way to bulk up the bottom of the iceberg? All you need is a curious mind and Google University.

Like the safety pin and fashion tape in your purse, you may never have to use them, but you’re really glad you’ve got them if the situation presents itself.

To being the best, whatever you are.
