Some of the most popular marketing trends I’m loving right now have nothing to do with copywriting.

I’m not sure how a trend becomes a trend or who is the first brand to create the vibe everyone copies for a season, but these are a few I would be all over if I was heading up a brand’s social page.

#1. Drink carrier flatlay

The everyday essentials with a drink carrier. Perfectly messy. Props are all relatable. Can be posed in various ways. Brilliant, I couldn’t love it more.

#2. Wet towel imprint

Such a fun take on promoting summer products. This requires minimal effort and it's leisurely with a mix of lifestyle.

#3. Suitcase flatlay

I love seeing different brand’s interpretations of a flatlay trend. Especially for the summer, promoting products are easy to travel with. Not everything in the suitcase needs to be from the brand. It looks effortless but it’s purposely detailed.

#4. Anything vintage

I’m a big fan of Vacation’s brand in general. I think how they approach advertising is brilliant. I love that everything has a touch of summer in the 90’s. Coppertone could never.

#5. Cohesive IG grid

Having a picture-perfect grid used to be all anyone worried about. I care less about that now, but every now and then I’m a fan of this pop of color trend for multiple posts. Just for a season. Don’t overdo it, then it just looks forced and puts you in a box for the next creative campaign.

There’s a part of me that thinks I would thrive in some type of creative director role. There’s something about the art of curating an aesthetic for a photoshoot that would energize me in a way that writing on a computer everyday doesn’t.

Maybe someday!
