For the Girls: The Super Bowl Pre-Show
What a Marketer and Sports Gal Enjoys Most about the Super Bowl
I’m a sports girly. I love a good football game just as much as the “SATURDAYS ARE FOR THE BOYS 😤” crowd. But as someone who writes ads for a living and isn’t a fan of either team playing in the Super Bowl this year, I’m here to judge root for the commercials.
To be very honest, during any other night of the week I’m usually hitting mute on commercials the very second they appear on my tv, but on Super Bowl Sunday I’m locked in. I’m taking notes. I’m listening to every word. I don’t even know where the remote is.
It’s a big night for advertisers because of how many eyes are on the tv. Over the years, the commercials have evolved into their own event which is why brands are now dishing out 8 MILLION DOLLARS for a 30-second spot. Absurd.
If you’re like me and still want to be invested in sports but don’t really care about this game, I’ve created something to keep us all entertained.
Introducing.….Super Bowl 2025 Commercial Bingo!

Sorry the title isn’t more clever, I can only do so much.
This bingo card is clearly subjective and based on your own taste and opinions about ads and creativity. A commercial that makes me laugh might make you cringe and vice versa. It’s all just fun and games and means nothing, which is the best kind of game to play IMO.
If you even care…this is what I’m usually thinking about when I watch Super Bowl ads:
The quality of the script – are they forcing humor or is it natural and engaging dialogue?
The storytelling elements – producing an emotional story without pushing the product is my favorite kind of ad to see.
The shock factor – did it make me think, “No way they actually just said that on national television…”?
The level of creativity put into the overall production, script, talent, and execution.
Did it make me LOL for real? I’m a self-proclaimed tough critic when it comes to any use of comedy in an ad. It has to hit all the right marks so if it makes me laugh while sitting on my couch alone then chances are high I’m gonna love it.
No prizes will be given away for winners who get BINGO. This is just a silly little thing we can all do together while we stuff our faces with buffalo chicken dip and pretend like we don’t care that Taylor Swift is living out her You Belong With Me dreams right before our millennial eyes.
You could tag @nicolefbader & @salesgirlsocial on IG stories if you’re bored and score a BINGO because I’m nosey and wanna know. Or just keep it to yourself, I don’t care that much I promise!
I’m sure I’ll be back in your inboxes soon with a full rundown of the SB ads I loved and hated – can’t wait!
