Marketing 101 with Kendall Jenner

Kendall Jenner has hit the campaign trail.

Not for the presidency (though this could be her year if she wanted to), but for her 818 Tequila Blanco brand

The stops on her map?

Not liquor stores, not grocery stores, not farmer’s markets…

College towns.

You know why? Because she’s smart.

Now this isn’t an email about tequila.

We don’t condone Kendall slinging shots to bars full of people. In fact, we kinda wish she was promoting water instead because we all drank 8 ounces total of water in our 4 years of college, right? Just me?

I’m 33 and am only just now experiencing hydration.

So it’s not about the tequila.

It’s about going where your market is.

Who are the people that need/want your product or service? Where are those people at? Is there somewhere that they congregate? How can you put yourself in front of them?

Journal on that, I’m serious.

Kendall knows that college towns are full of her prospects. Ideal clients, if you will.

Same principle comes into play when you decide what audiences to run paid ads to.

How can you put yourself in front of more potential customers?

Wanna channel your inner Kendall Jenner, like today?

Find a podcast that your ideal clients listen to or an event that your ideal clients will attend. Shoot your shot at being a guest or go ahead and buy your ticket.

If you’re a makeup artist, consider a bridal show.

If you’re a web designer, consider a summit for business owners.

If you’re a dietitian, consider offering to speak at a gym.

If you’re a time management coach, consider offering to speak on a podcast for moms.

Tequila shots are not required (in fact, Kendall can keep them), but getting your message out to potential clients and the people who need you is.

Invite yourself into the rooms.
