Moms are Winning Gold at the 2024 Olympics

in more ways than one

As the most decorated woman in Olympic track and field history, Allyson Felix, is not new to doing things that have never been done before on the track.

But this time she’s inspiring us off of it, too.

The 11-time Olympic medalist and proud mother of two, has announced a partnership with Pampers to launch the first-ever nursery at the Olympic Village.

The nursery is set to debut at the heart of the Athletes' Village Plaza, central to athletes’ living headquarters during the 2024 Games.

The tiny track in the middle is sending me.

Fully stocked with diapers, wipes and a napping room, the nursery promises to offer a space for Olympic mothers to bond with and nurse their babies amid their competitions.

Since retiring, Felix joined International Olympic Committee for the opportunity to be a "voice for athlete moms.”

It's a space where families can get away from it all and have some of the comforts of home. They can have playtime and have places to feed their babies.

Allyson Felix told NBC News

What choice of we have but to obsess over this story?

"Pregnancy and motherhood don’t have to mean a career end for female athletes," said Emma Terho, the Olympic Committee’s Commission Chair and a two-time Olympic ice hockey medalist for Finland.

Pregnancy and Motherhood also don’t have to mean a career end in any industry.

"I think it really tells women that you can choose motherhood and also be at the top of your game and not have to miss a beat," said Felix.

We believe it to our bones.
