Andrew Schulz is a stand-up comedian known for his bold and thought-provoking humor.

(I’ve never watched, but people loved his Netflix special if you’re into that.)

Andrew is right in the middle of a world tour and one specific date on his calendar has little stars drawn next to it.

Madison Square Garden is on the vision board of nearly every artist and performer who dreams of selling out venues.

It’s special to Andrew Schulz for some of the same reasons that it’s special to anyone else, and for one that’s very personal and specific to him.

When he first started comedy 17 years ago, he shared his dream to headline The Garden with friends and colleagues.

Most people rolled their eyes; everyone laughed.

He’s known for his jokes but this wasn’t one of them.

The next person he told was his dad, who gave him a different response… one he hadn’t heard from anyone else.

His dad said, “I’ll see you there.”

Two weeks ago and 17 years after saying his dream out loud, he played MSG to a sold out crowd. Not one night, but two.

If you have 90 seconds, watch the reel of Andrew sharing the news with his dad:

One single person believing in you can change the trajectory of your life. YOU being the person who believes in someone else can change theirs.

It’s a deal I wouldn’t mind being on either side of.

Believe in your kids. Believe in your friends. Believe in people
