The Power of Staying Consistent: Lessons from Augusta National
If you watch The Masters this week (by choice or by force), you'll notice something kinda strange…
Nothing really changes. Ever.
The green jacket. The $1.50 pimento cheese sandwiches. The azaleas. The hushed reverence like it's holy ground.

Is anyone sure that it’s NOT holy ground be honest
Even with Scottie Scheffler favored to win again, Rory McIlroy chasing his career Grand Slam, and me on pins and needles to see what the wives are wearing… Augusta stays Augusta.
Sure, they stretched Hole 2 by 10 yards this year - but that's refinement, not reinvention.
And that is the strategy.
It’s not about being the loudest, flashiest, most innovative tournament.
It’s about being so excellent at the basics that no one even questions where you fall in the line of all-time greats.
What I’m discovering is that the magic isn’t in constantly reinventing yourself. The magic is in being so good at what you do that your brand becomes a tradition.
When you’re tempted to change your offer, your look, your brand voice, your everything… just because someone else is making noise…
Remember Augusta.
The world doesn’t always need new. Sometimes it craves known.
