The Science Behind MySpace Surveys

And How You May Still Be Taking Them and Not Even Know It...

In partnership with

Cold Email Setup Offer

We started sending 10,000 cold emails per day, and scaled a brand new B2B offer to $108k MRR in 90 days. Now, you can have the same system set up (completely done-for-you) inside your own business - WITHOUT going to spam, spending thousands of dollars, or any manual input. Close your next 20 clients easily. We’ll set up the tech, write your scripts, give you the leads, give you the inboxes, and the sending tool - all starting at $500/mo.

I don’t know about you guys but I’m still chasing that checking-MySpace-after-school high.

There can’t be a single survey that I left undone.

Please I’m crying

I can’t stop laughing thinking about me filling mine out knowing good and well the last person I had held hands with was my mom but putting “Tyler I think???” instead.

Those years made us who we are, fam.

I’ve been seeing a similar phenomenon take over the MySpace of today… Instagram.

The cringe factor has gone down (some) and the aesthetic factor has gone up (a lot), but at its core the principle is the same.

We looooove to talk about ourselves.

These are not my answers I would never choose Elf.

Does anyone care if I prefer Christmas Eve to Christmas Day? Probably not.

But it’s fun!

It’s almost 2025, but I’ve loved you since…” throwbacks have absolutely taken over my feed. It’s been reposted more than a MILLION times and counting.

I hope someone thinks this is me.

I love looking at everyone’s throwbacks, but people are posting for themselves. It’s just the truth.

My 4 year old will never see the reel I made him for his birthday and alas - POST!

It makes us feel so good.

When people share personal information about themselves, it activates the brain's reward system, triggering a pleasurable sensation similar to experiencing something positive.

Between your ears, you might as well be eating a piece of delicious chocolate cake or having a belly laugh over dinner with the girls.

Yapping about ourselves is rewarding on a neurological level - it’s no wonder we can’t stop ourselves when a new trend like “This or That” starts circulating.

You shouldn’t always stop yourself. It’s all in good fun! Just know like anything pleasurable, you can overdo it.

We all know someone.

You can use this rule of life to your advantage by always keeping the focus on the other person in your conversations, especially if it’s business-related.

Because the brain’s reward system has started firing, they’ll leave feeling on top of the world and even like they know YOU better (even if they have no idea whether you prefer sugar cookies or gingerbread) because of how you made THEM feel.

That’s what we call a win win.

And now, a MySpace survey of our own that we would be so grateful to hear from you in:

Next time we’ll ask who you kissed last.
