Transform Your Copywriting with This One Thing

hint: less is more...

Your 9th grade Language Arts teacher did you dirty.

I know that writing those 6-page, double-spaced, Times New Roman, 12-point font, term papers built our character, but it also gave us a big time disadvantage in the real world.

In the age of short attention spans and tiny screens, one of the best things you can be is brief

Research shows that a literal goldfish would watch an Instagram ad for longer than me and you would.

(If it’s “you and I,” don’t tell me. Sorry for dragging you AND embarrassing you, Ms. Rose, I loved your class so much.)

The writers who are rising to the top are not the ones who can use the biggest words and hit a character limit.

People want to read whoever can say more with less.

Take the two posts below for example:

One was made by Nike, one was made by Lululemon.

Both incredible accomplishments by incredible women.

One gave me instant chills.

One I read 3 times and then got chills once I understood.

They are not the same.

So the writer who breeds more words than he needs, is making a chore for the reader who reads.
